Alain Gravel ne sera plus à la barre de l'émission de radio matinale de Radio-Canada, a annoncé le diffuseur public, jeudi matin. À compter de la saison prochaine, l'animateur et journaliste occupera la case horaire du samedi midi, sur ICI Radio-Canada Première. Il fera aussi un retour à la télévision avec des documentaires.
«Bien que je sois un peu triste de quitter mon rendez-vous matinal, je me réjouis des nouveaux défis qu'on m'offre», réagit Alain Gravel, qui était à la barre de Gravel le matin depuis l'automne 2015. Son successeur n'est pas connu, mais Radio-Canada a annoncé que l'émission matinale d'ICI Radio-Canada Première renouvellera sa formule en 2019-2020. «Le samedi à midi sur ICI Radio-Canada Première, Alain Gravel animera, en compagnie d'analystes chevronnés, une émission consacrée aux faits marquants, politiques ou autres, de la semaine. Il mènera des entrevues en profondeur avec les principaux acteurs de l'actualité et des débats seront présentés. Alain Gravel proposera par ailleurs un certain nombre d'entrevues d'une heure dans l'esprit des Grands entretiens», a annoncé le diffuseur dans un communiqué.
À la télévision, on retrouvera l'ancien journaliste d'Enquête (2007 à 2015) derrière des «documentaires d'impact sur des enjeux marquants pour la société».
«Je pourrai ainsi mettre à profit mes 40 ans d'expérience journalistique à la réalisation de documentaires, une forme nouvelle de journalisme pour moi, tout en restant proche des événements de l'actualité dans ma nouvelle émission de radio», ajoute le principal concerné.
